Description:
The coastline was divided into Coastal Shoreline Units (CSUs) so that the distribution and condition of conservation targets could be systematically evaluated within standard comparable sub-regional shoreline types. These targets include nearshore shellfish, seagrass, tidal marsh, fish, presence of target birds, and spawning areas for diadromous fish. The analysis also included measures of human impacts to coastal ecosystems.
